In fertilizer processing and production, mixers are essential in the process of mixing various raw materials. Common ones include single axis mixers and double axis mixers, which are classified according to the structure of the machine. The difference between the two is that the former is intermittent mixing and discharging, while the latter can continuously feed and discharge during production. Therefore, it can be seen that double axis mixers are more suitable for use in high-yield fertilizer production lines.

From the perspective of installation form, mixers can be divided into vertical mixers and horizontal mixers. Simply put, the former uses a vertical structure for the mixing shaft, while the latter uses a horizontal placement for the mixing shaft. A vertical mixer only has one mixing shaft that rotates inside the mixing disc, while a horizontal mixer can be designed with a single or multiple shaft structure. The double shaft mixer mentioned earlier belongs to the horizontal series.

In addition, according to the different purposes and power ratios of the mixer, we can divide it into general mixers and forced mixers. In the case of light weight and small quantity of materials, a general mixer can be used, which consumes less power and has moderate production capacity. Fertilizer mixers are mostly of this type. If the output is large and the proportion of materials is particularly high, a forced mixer can be used. For example, when mixing concrete, using a forced mixer can complete the mixing operation faster and better.
